Our Partnership with Local and National Healthcare Providers
Radiology Regional recognizes that partnering with like-minded healthcare organizations will provide greater influence and outreach to assist with the health of our community.
LUNG SCREENING PROGRAM
Radiology Regional participates in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) national Lung Cancer Screening Registry (LCSR). This program utilizes annual low-dose CT scans in adults age 50-80 years who currently smoke or have a smoking history to screen for lung cancer. Through the LCSR registry, we receive quarterly reports as well as data for our referring physicians to help refine and improve lung cancer screening for everyone.
TUMOR BOARDS
Radiology Regional meets regularly with our patients’ referring providers and other health care specialists to discuss their cancer cases and share knowledge to determine the best possible care plan for each individual patient who has received their imaging and/or biopsy studies for Breast, Pancreas, and Lung cancers at our centers.
VIRGINIA B. ANDES VOLUNTEER COMMUNITY CLINIC
Radiology Regional partners with Virginia B. Andes (VBA) to assist them in their mission to encourage and support healthy lifestyles for Charlotte County residents. VBA provides no-cost exams and access to services for their patients who are uninsured or underserved. This program helps to provide basic healthcare to diagnose diseases, such as heart and lung, as well as cancers, at their earliest stages and provide the support their patients need to take control of their health.
CLINICAL TRIALS
Radiology Regional has a well-established program and has contracted with physician practices for more than 70 clinical trials over the last 10+ years. Our clinical trials include research for Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, liver disease, and bone density. Modalities utilized in the clinical trials conducted include MRI, CT, mammography, DEXA, and basic x-ray. The benefits of clinical trials are great, they are a key research tool for advancing medical knowledge and patient care and help to discover new treatments for diseases, as well as new ways to detect, diagnose, and reduce the chance of developing the disease. Patients involved in our clinical trials may receive newer treatment for a disease that is not yet available to the general public and those new treatments may be proven to be more effective and developed to become available to everyone.

Charitable Donations
Radiology Regional proudly supports numerous non-profits and fundraising events that aim to provide financial assistance, education, screening, and treatment to patients in need.
4-Words Foundation
This unique organization is a fully volunteer, local non-profit which assists individuals who may need a screening, non-surgical biopsy, or additional testing in their diagnosis and/or treatment of cancer. Radiology Regional has helped to raise over $89,000 for 4 Words Foundation over the last eight years through our partnership with the Florida Everblades and their annual Pink in the Rink jersey auction to support 4 Words mission to raise awareness about the importance of health screenings and early detection.
Partners in Care (formerly known as 21st Century C.A.R.E.)
We are proud to support mission of providing their patients with financial assistance for incidental expenses related to cancer treatments through event sponsorships including: Head & Neck Cancer, A Hard Thing to Swallow 5k Run/Walk, Scope for Hope 5k Race against Colon and Rectal Cancer, and the Pancreatic Cancer Symposium.
Senior Friendship Center
Radiology Regional partners with Senior Friendship Center to promote health, dignity, and quality of life throughout the journey of aging.
Partners for Breast Cancer Care
The goal of this long-standing partnership is to improve the breast cancer survival rates of the community’s at-risk patient population in underserved neighborhoods by increasing awareness through education, breast examinations, and annual screening mammograms. Our collaboration has helped to reduce advanced-stage cancer diagnosis and plays a vital role in cancer prevention.
