Radiology Regional offers HeartFlow® FFR-CT Analysis as part of our cutting-edge cardiovascular imaging services. We are one of the only imaging providers in Southwest Florida to offer this advanced, noninvasive AI service.
Radiology Regional is using the HeartFlow Analysis to improve the diagnosis of CAD. Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States. CAD occurs when the arteries leading to the heart become narrow or blocked, resulting in reduced blood flow to the heart. This can lead to chest pain, heart attacks, and even death. Despite being the most prevalent form of heart disease, many of the non-invasive tests available today have low accuracy rates in detecting the disease.
This non-invasive heart test creates a personalized 3D model of your coronary arteries, illustrating how each blockage affects blood flow to your heart. This in-depth information, previously only obtainable through an invasive procedure, assists your doctor in determining the next steps in your treatment plan.

How it Works
First, a standard coronary CTA scan is completed. If our radiologist identifies coronary artery disease, a HeartFlow® FFR-CT is ordered and the CCTA images are sent directly to HeartFlow® for analysis. This does not require another appointment and there is no additional risk to you.
Using advanced algorithms incorporating AI and computational fluid dynamics, the HeartFlow® FFR-CT Analysis creates a digital 3D model of your heart, showing how each blockage limits blood flow.
Within hours, your ordering physician receives the HeartFlow® FFR-CT Analysis and is able to assess, vessel by vessel, if sufficient blood flow is reaching the heart to better determine the best treatment path.
HeartFlow FFR-CT Analysis is an added technology that is used during your CTA Scan. To schedule your CTA scan appointment, call 239-936-4068 or 941-255-7945.
