Prepare for Your Imaging Exam

What to Bring:

  • Photo ID
  • Medical Insurance Card
  • Copy of your script if provided to you

Your specific preparation requirements will depend on the type and scope of the scan you’re scheduled for. You will receive instructions at the time of scheduling and may also receive a follow up call from a technologist.

For Breast Imaging:

  • On the day of your exam do not use underarm deodorant, power or cream as these can interfere with test results.
  • Wear a two-piece outfit, if possible, this will allow you to wear a gown from the waist up.
  • If your last mammogram was completed at another facility, we’ll work with you to obtain your prior mammography images. This is important because they provide essential breast history and our radiologists will use them to compare against your new images. Identifying changes to breast tissue by comparing images is key to early breast cancer detection.

Request Your Images

Radiology Regional now makes it easy for you to share or request a copy of your images electronically or securely upload your images. Once you set up a PowerShare account, you can upload and share imaging studies with doctors and specialists as needed. The PowerShare network is encrypted to ensure your privacy is protected and no one can see your medical information without your consent.
